Connecticut reports 2 COVID-19 deaths, 1.2% infection rate

HARTFORD, CT (1010 WINS) -- Connecticut reported two new COVID-19 deaths and a 1.2 percent infection rate on Wednesday, Gov. Ned Lamont said. 

Of the 11,257 COVID-19 results that came back on Tuesday, 135, or 1.2 percent, were positive, Lamont tweeted. 

The state confirmed two new COVID-19 deaths, bringing its death toll to 4,487, data from its health department showed. As of Tuesday night, 70 people in the state were hospitalized with COVID-19, down by one from Monday, Lamont said.
